John Marshall (Brewmaster)


John Marshall, born and raised San Diegan who first started home brewing on a consistent basis in 2007.

John took first place in the inaugural 'Home brew Smackdown" competition put on by local nano brewery Dirty Bucket. First place prize included brewing his first place old ale recipe on the Dirty Bucket ½ bbl system. John enrolled and was accepted to the UCSD Extension Brewing Certificate program. With classes taught by highly regarded professionals in the craft beer industry such as Yuseff Cherney, Mitch Steele and Chris White, to name a few, John was excited to further his education in an industry that keeps growing at an exponential rate John completed the program in March of 2015.


Kevin Lewis (Head Brewer/Operations)


Head Brewer. Kevin Lewis is a San Diego native, born and raised. A graduate of the SDSU Business of Craft Beer Program, Kevin has over 12 years' experience in the Bar/Restaurant industry, managing at Viejas Casino, the San Diego Airport working for HMS Host. Kevin worked as a brewer at Butchers Brewing in Santee under the guidance of their Master Brewer/Owner Rey Knight.





Steve Garcia (Sales & Development)


Born and raised in San Diego. Graduate of the SDSU Business of Craft Beer Program. Graduate of the Siebel Institute "Brewing Science & Technology" curriculum. 15+ years of finance / operational quality control experience in the financial field. He is a seasoned project manager and networker with a strong background in business/sales development. Steve is responsible for Thr3e Punk Ales financial planning, capital financing as well as building the Thr3e Punk Ales brand via Social Media & other market channels.
